Alumni Highlights

In 2015…

700+ Steppingstone Alumni made their mark on communities throughout Boston and around the world. Here are just a few of their many achievements:

  • Joining the Headmaster’s Council at The Roxbury Latin School
  • Serving as a Fulbright Scholar in Portugal
  • Working for the New York Association of Black Journalists
  • Beginning a master’s in biomedical engineering at Brown

Alumni also stay deeply involved right here in Boston. Last year, dozens came back to support the next generation of Scholars.

  • More than 15 returned to teach and mentor younger Steppingstone students.
  • Mariela DeLeon ’04 and Khue Nguyen ’01 worked full-time as Steppingstone Advisors.
  • Emely Orellana ’97 volunteered as an Outreach Assistant, helping to connect new families with Steppingstone programs.
  • Donavan Brown ’95 and Mariel Novas ’00 served on Steppingstone’s Board of Directors.
  • Eric Andrew ’94, Ngozi Anidi ’98, Joanne Jacquet Araujo ’98, and Anthony Mathieu ’02 served on Steppingstone’s Board of Ambassadors.
  • Dozens of Alumni volunteered at events and donated throughout the year.

We are honored to have such an engaged Alumni community and couldn’t be more proud of everything Steppingstone Alumni have accomplished!
