As we monitor current events that may affect Steppingstone Scholars and their families, our priority remains supporting everyone in our community.
Steppingstone continues to be committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community that honors the essential value of every individual. We pledge to maintain a culture of mutual respect and understanding and we stand by members of our community feeling targeted and unsafe at this time.
The following message was shared with Steppingstone Scholars and families.
Recent immigration decisions have left many people feeling a range of emotions, including fear, confusion, and anger. We want to remind you all that Steppingstone is an intentionally diverse community where we respect and support everyone. Treating people differently because of their race, religion, country of origin, or any other part of their identities is not acceptable in this community and goes against our values and mission. We at Steppingstone are here for you and your families, and we encourage you to reach out to us if there is anything that we can do to help.
We also want to remind you about our partnership with Ropes & Gray – a law firm in Boston that offers free counsel related to immigration issues to Steppingstone families. If your family has questions or is interested in this resource, please let your Advisor know and we can help set up a meeting.
Please reach out to Steppingstone staff, Advisors, counselors, or teachers if there is anything that you would like to talk about. We are here to listen and to help in any way that we can.
